Welcome to Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida’s 2025-2026 Season!
Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida invites you to experience an inspiring 2025–2026 season filled with artistic excellence, exciting premieres, beloved classics, and meaningful community engagement. Under the direction of Vladimir Issaev, the company continues its commitment to presenting high-quality classical and neoclassical ballet while nurturing the next generation of dancers and audiences.
PROGRAM I: FIREBIRD & MORE (October 2025)
We begin the season with a powerful showcase of classical and neoclassical works. Program I highlights the triumphant return of Firebird, a vibrant retelling of the Russian fairytale set to Stravinsky’s iconic score. With dazzling sets, costumes, and special effects, this full-scale production enchants audiences of all ages. The evening also includes Glinka Suite Fantastique, Talisman Pas de Deux, and Double Clef by Vicente Nebrada — a tribute to the music and movement that define Arts Ballet’s dynamic repertoire.
THE NUTCRACKER (December 2025)
Our cherished holiday tradition returns! Vladimir Issaev’s The Nutcracker captures the wonder of the season with snowflakes, magical dolls, and the journey to the Kingdom of Sweets. Performed by our professional dancers alongside talented local children, this colorful and joyous production is a must-see for families and ballet lovers alike.
PROGRAM III: DR. OUCH! (March 2026)
A delightful treat for families, Dr. Ouch! is a whimsical ballet in two acts, based on the children’s poems by Kornei Chukovsky. Follow the kind-hearted Doctor as he travels to Africa to cure sick monkeys, only to be captured by a band of mischievous pirates! With colorful costumes, humorous choreography, and a talented cast of professional and young dancers, this production is part of our celebrated Family Series.
PROGRAM IV: SPRING GALA (May 2026)
We conclude the season with our Spring Gala, a grand showcase of the company’s finest performances. The program includes the neoclassical favorite Danzón by Yanis Pikieris, the expressive La Traviata Pas de Deux and Shostakovich Suites by Vladimir Issaev, and Tarde en la Siesta, a poetic ballet by Cuban choreographer Alberto Méndez, restaged especially for South Florida audiences. The evening ends with the U.S. premiere of Polovtsian Dances, a spectacular large-scale work set to Borodin’s thrilling score — generously underwritten by Funding Arts Broward (FAB!) and Funding Arts Network (FAN).
