Status Code 4 Inc. (SC4I) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides free trauma healing counseling, mental wellness education, and informative resources to First Responders and their family members.  First Responders are civilian and military members who perform law enforcement, fire fighter, emergency medical, dispatch and other emergency services.

Status Code 4 Inc. was created following the numerous reports of First Responder suicides across the United States and Canada.  SC4I is in the unique position to intimately understand the stressors associated with being a First Responder.  The results of these stressors contribute to a vast number of issues.  These issues include depression, anxiety, PTSD, Compassion Fatigue, divorce, domestic violence, and substance abuse.

Our name comes from Dispatches frequent question after they have not heard from a unit for awhile. "Med unit, what's your status?"  If everything was all right, we would answer, "Code 4."  Our goal at SC4I is to help all First Responders we service get to the point where their status is Code 4.

Since we opened our doors in 2017, we have provided over $1,200,000 worth of trauma healing therapy to over 1,000 First Responders located in Colorado; 173 classes to public safety departments; and authored several booklets and an 8-part Lifelines Documentary series that has been seen by over 800K individuals across the globe.
