Special Olympics Florida

Special Olympics Florida, located in Clermont, is dedicated to providing year-round sports training and competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to offer a variety of Olympic-type sports, enabling our athletes to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience joy. Through these programs, participants share their gifts and skills with their families, fellow athletes, and the broader community. 

We serve a diverse population across Florida, ensuring that children and adults of all ability levels have the opportunity to participate at no cost. Our programs are designed to foster inclusion and respect, aiming to help individuals with intellectual disabilities become productive and respected members of society. By increasing public awareness of their capabilities and needs, we strive to create a more inclusive community for all.
