United Against Poverty Orlando

United Against Poverty Orlando, established in 2009, is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and empowering individuals living in poverty to achieve economic self-sufficiency. Our mission encompasses providing crisis care, case management, transformative education, food and household subsidies, employment training and placement, personal empowerment training, and active referrals to collaborative social service providers. We envision communities where every family has access to basic needs, nutritional food, crisis care, education, and employment training, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to achieve a future filled with hope and possibilities.

Our core programs are designed to empower participants to break free from the cycle of poverty. The Member Share Grocery Program offers dignified access to nutritious food and household goods, while the Success Training Employment Program (STEP) provides essential job training skills and placement opportunities. Additionally, our Life Enrichment Center offers crisis care and educational opportunities, including courses in adult literacy, parenting, budgeting, nutrition, and computer skills. Through these comprehensive services, we serve an average of more than 300 individuals each day, striving to uplift our neighbors in need throughout Central Florida.
