Altadena Guild of Huntington Memorial Hospital
Established in 1951, the Altadena Guild of Huntington Memorial Hospital is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to enhancing healthcare and fostering community involvement in Altadena, California. Our mission focuses on providing financial and volunteer support to both Huntington Hospital and the Huntington Medical Research Institutes (HMRI), esteemed institutions located in Pasadena. Over the years, the Guild has organized numerous fundraising events, most notably our annual Home & Garden Tour, which has been a cherished tradition since 1952. Through these efforts, we have contributed over $3 million to support advancements in medical care and research.
Our contributions have been instrumental in supporting various initiatives at Huntington Hospital, including the Constance G. Zahorik Appearance Center, which assists cancer patients in managing the cosmetic side effects of treatment. We also fund scholarships for hospital employees pursuing further education and have pledged $100,000 towards the hospital's Heart and Vascular Center. Additionally, the Guild supports HMRI's mission to improve lives through patient-focused scientific research, aiding studies on conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, migraines, and heart disease. Our commitment to these institutions reflects our dedication to advancing healthcare excellence and community well-being in the San Gabriel Valley.
