DC Waste & Recycling (DCW) is a family-owned and locally operated business dedicated to serving our community and protecting the environment. Founded in 2015 following the acquisition of Stewart Sanitation, Inc. in Hillsboro, Illinois, DCW is privately held and wholly owned by the Deming family, who have deep ties to the region.

With roots in farming and a strong commitment to family, church, education, and work, the Deming family has built a company founded on resilience, integrity, and a strong work ethic. After a successful 25-year career with major national and regional waste management companies, the Demings seized the opportunity to establish their own business.

Today, DC Waste & Recycling proudly employs over 28 dedicated team members and serves more than 13,000 customers across nine counties in Central Illinois. The company continues to expand its presence in the region by focusing on operational efficiency and delivering exceptional customer service.
