Litchfield National Bank was established in 1907 as First State & Savings Bank. On September 19, 1911, it transitioned into a National Banking Association. The bank has been led by esteemed presidents, including M.M. Morrison, T.T. Lackey, Herb Herrick, Charles McBride, and Leighton Wesley Cline. In 1945, William Harold Fleming was elected President, serving until 1974. His son, Frank Fleming, succeeded him, holding the position until 2008, when Frank’s son, Michael Fleming, was appointed President.

The bank has steadily expanded to enhance customer convenience. In 1972, a drive-in facility was established on North State Street, formerly the House of Sunshine property. A branch was added in 1999 inside the Litchfield Super Wal-Mart, bringing the total number of locations in Litchfield to three. In 2004, online banking was introduced, allowing customers to manage their finances with greater ease. In 2010, the bank acquired the property of the former Hardee’s restaurant, and in June 2015, the Wal-Mart branch was relocated, coinciding with the opening of the new Route 66 Banking Center’s drive-up lanes.

Known as “The Friendly Bank,” Litchfield National Bank remains committed to providing exceptional service and innovative financial solutions. With a legacy spanning over 115 years, we take great pride in serving Litchfield and the surrounding communities.
