Foster City Lions Club

The Foster City Lions Club is dedicated to serving our community with passion, integrity, and commitment. Since our founding in 1967, we have played a vital role in fostering civic engagement, supporting local initiatives, and enhancing the well-being of Foster City and beyond.

We welcome you to join us for an evening of camaraderie, learning, and service. Our meetings take place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 PM, with dinner starting at 7:00 PM, at BJ’s Restaurant, 2206 Bridgepointe Parkway. Please contact us in advance to RSVP for meal arrangements.

Who We Are

The Foster City Lions Club is a diverse group of over 35 dedicated members representing various professions, including accountants, contractors, engineers, small business owners, retirees, and educators. While we come from different backgrounds, we share a common goal: to make our community a better place through active service and personal involvement.

As part of the International Association of Lions Clubs, a global network of over 48,000 clubs, we are committed to upholding the Lions’ mission of humanitarian service, leadership, and community engagement.

Our Mission & Legacy

For more than five decades, the Foster City Lions Club has been at the forefront of community service, leaving a lasting impact on the city we call home. Our objectives include:

• Promoting understanding and cooperation among diverse communities.
  
• Encouraging service-minded individuals to give back without personal financial gain.
  
• Supporting the civic, cultural, social, and moral well-being of Foster City

By the time Foster City was officially incorporated in 1971, our club had already been actively serving the community. Our 22 charter members, who first gathered in 1967, launched early initiatives such as the Christmas tree lot and 4th of July fundraisers. In 1986, our club grew even stronger with the integration of the women's auxiliary membership.

Over the years, we have championed numerous projects, including:

• Establishing the city’s first baseball diamond.
  
• Organizing blood drives to support community health.
  
• Providing ongoing support for local schools, police, and fire departments.
