New Jersey Council of County Colleges

The New Jersey Council of County Colleges (NJCCC) is committed to advancing equity and economic prosperity through education. As New Jersey undergoes rapid economic, technological, and social changes, Community Colleges play a critical role in preparing residents for the evolving workforce. While 60% of adults in the state hold a postsecondary credential, significant disparities remain, particularly among Black, Hispanic, and other underrepresented populations. NJCCC is dedicated to closing these gaps by fostering inclusive policies and expanding access to high-quality education and career pathways for all, including students with disabilities, justice-impacted individuals, immigrants, and LGBTQ+ students.

With the rise of artificial intelligence, automation, and other emerging technologies, the skills needed for workforce success are rapidly shifting. NJCCC is leading efforts to modernize curricula, strengthen partnerships with employers, and equip students with both technical and critical thinking skills necessary for long-term career growth. By driving innovation and collaboration, New Jersey’s Community Colleges are creating pathways to sustainable employment, ensuring that all residents have the opportunity to thrive in an increasingly complex and technology-driven economy.
