Commissioner Tim Echols is a lifelong Georgian whose values were shaped by his upbringing in Clayton County and his family’s diverse businesses. A graduate of the University of Georgia, Tim began his career in the private sector before dedicating his life to youth development and public service. He and his wife Windy left their jobs to pursue full-time youth ministry, a mission that led Tim to establish TeenPact, a nationally recognized program that has empowered over 82,000 young people across all 50 states. Tim continues to guide the organization as a board member.
Today, Tim serves as a Georgia Public Service Commissioner, where he applies his passion for leadership and community to matters impacting residents statewide. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tim is also a published author, most recently writing Jean Marc of Jekyll, a historical fiction novel rooted in Georgia’s past. He and Windy, his wife of over 40 years, live in Hoschton, Georgia, where they are deeply involved in their faith, family life, and service to others.
