Raccoon Valley Electric Cooperative

Raccoon Valley Electric Cooperative (RVEC), located at 28725 Hwy 30, PO Box 486, Glidden, Iowa, is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric utility dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and affordable energy throughout west-central Iowa. Serving a diverse region that includes businesses, farms, homes, and industries, RVEC maintains 1,447 miles of line across nine counties and supports over 2,100 members with the help of 17 dedicated employees. The cooperative is financed through the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (CFC) and operates with a strong commitment to fiscal responsibility and service excellence.

As a cooperative, RVEC is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors elected by the member-owners, ensuring that decisions reflect the interests of the communities served. This structure reinforces RVEC’s commitment to local control, transparency, and responsiveness. Our mission is to safely provide reliable, affordable, and responsible energy while leading in the prosperity and growth of the communities we serve.
