Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County
Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County (NHS) is a nonprofit organization committed to creating vibrant, inclusive communities through collaborative partnerships and innovative housing solutions. Since 1984, the NHS has played a vital role in uniting residents, businesses, and government entities to strengthen neighborhoods, elevate the quality of life for low- to moderate-income families, and transform underserved communities into neighborhoods of choice.
As Southern California’s largest nonprofit provider of affordable homeownership services, NHS has made a significant impact by developing and rehabilitating over 27,000 housing and commercial units, helping 4.8 million families begin their journey to homeownership, forming 255 block clubs, and employing more than 265 local youth. With an investment of over $8.5 billion in underserved areas, NHS continues to promote financial education, economic mobility, and leadership development, ultimately empowering families and advancing long-term community well-being throughout Los Angeles County.
