Perry's Joint

Perry’s Joint, established on September 1, 2004, is a well-loved eatery nestled on the west side of Pasadena, California, just minutes from the iconic Rose Bowl. Renowned for its lively atmosphere and generous, handcrafted gourmet sandwiches, the restaurant has become a favorite gathering place for students, city workers, and locals seeking great food and good vibes, including live jazz evenings.

The vision behind Perry’s Joint comes from founder Perry Bennett, whose passion for food and entrepreneurship was shaped early in life. Raised in Philadelphia and later Oakland, Perry grew up working in his father's food businesses, from ice cream shops to food trucks. Although he studied Psychology at San Francisco City College, his entrepreneurial roots led him to open his first business at just 22 years old.

Beyond food, Perry’s Joint is grounded in community impact. Each year, the restaurant donates an entire day’s proceeds to fund scholarships for graduates of nearby John Muir High School. This ongoing commitment reflects Perry’s belief in giving back to the neighborhood that helped shape his journey. As he puts it, “I was born, bred, and programmed to be a part of my community.”
