St. John Lutheran Church
Home

Rooted in faith and rich in history, St. John Lutheran Church has been a pillar of the Lansing community since 1883. What began with just twenty faithful members has grown into a thriving congregation committed to sharing the love of Christ. From the hand-hewn timbers of our original church, crafted from nearby forests, to the heartfelt dedication of families who laid our spiritual foundation, our story is one of resilience, unity, and service. Over the years, we have expanded with the addition of a school, upgrades to our facilities, and the construction of a new church in 1951, built with the hands and hearts of our members. Through every chapter, the sound of our historic bell has rung with purpose, calling generations to worship, fellowship, and community.

Today, St. John Lutheran Church continues to build on its legacy with vibrant ministries, Christ-centered education, and a welcoming spirit that embraces all who walk through our doors. We honor the vision of the pastors who have shepherded us, Rev. Carl Dietz, Rev. Frederick Brunn, Rev. Herber Harthun, Rev. Arthur Krause, and Rev. Jeffry Fritz, by remaining steadfast in our mission to share the Gospel, nurture faith, and serve others. Whether you’re looking for a place to grow spiritually, connect with others, or be part of something meaningful, we invite you to experience the warmth and witness of St. John Lutheran Church.
