Just in time for Mother’s Day, join us for a creative and hands-on wet felting workshop where you’ll craft a beautiful, one-of-a-kind gift—perfect for someone special or as a treat for yourself!
Choose from a variety of small, functional projects: a felted vase, basket, bowl, or coin purse. With guidance from experienced felter and instructor Jo Wheeler, you'll learn the basics of wet felting over a resist form and explore how to work with different types of wool, silk, and plant fibers.
This class is perfect for beginners and a great foundation for more advanced felting projects. Depending on time and your pace, you may even have the opportunity to create a second item.
Let your imagination lead the way—if you can dream it, you can make it with wool!
About the instructor:
Jo Wheeler has been working with wool for over 30 years. She works with this material every step of the way: raising the sheep, spinning, dying the wool, wet felting and needle felting. She has taken many classes in fiber art and would like to pass on the knowledge others.
This program will run May 1, from 1-4pm. If more time is needed, there will be an optional follow-up session on May 2nd, from 1-2pm.
