Event Name:
Wheels in Motion Community Meal with the Kirkland Arts Center
Description
We have an amazing opportunity coming up on October 23rd, our WHEELS IN MOTION event to raise funds for our new ceramics classroom to increase accessibility of studio space, classroom seats and storage.

Additionally, the event features an artist talk by Dan Friday. Dan is a Native of the Lummi Nation and a lifelong resident of Washington State’s Puget Sound region. Drawing from cultural themes and using modern processes, Friday’s work is contemporary in format while maintaining basic Native American qualities. Dan has spent the past two decades working with artists such as Dale Chihuly, Paul Marioni, and Preston Singletary. Friday lives in Seattle, where he maintains an independent glass studio. His work can be found in collections around the world. He also participated in season 3 of Netflix's glassblowing show, BLOWN AWAY.

For more about Dan and his work, people can visit https://www.fridayglass.com/

Tickets are $35 and include a handmade soup bowl by a KAC ceramicist as well as dinner (soup, bread and a beverage).

We will also have a raffle after the artist talk. The raffle includes gift cards and experiences from local businesses/ partners. Raffle tickets are $10 each, and only available for purchase at the event.
