SIUE STEM Center Receives Edwardsville Community Foundation Award

The Edwardsville Community Foundation recently awarded Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Center for STEM Research, Education & Outreach more than $2,000 for the Insight for All program.

“With this funding, we are able to explore strategies for making STEM education more accessible through tactile models using the Swellform Machine and adaptive tools like the talking balance and thermometer,” said Emily Wonnacott-Stanley, program and community outreach coordinator. “We are in process of creating and integrating resources to our lending library that support diverse learners, including blind and low-vision students, to foster equitable STEM experiences for all.”

For the SIUE campus community and visitors, the lending library at the STEM Resource Center is located in Science East, Room 1276.
