Martin, Oglesby, Fry Join Edwardsville's New Park North Golf Club
Park North Golf Club is set to transform the Edwardsville entertainment scene this summer, and now, with the addition of three dynamic leaders, the excitement is building.Golf professional RC Martin, acclaimed local chef Scott Oglesby, and former Top Golf St. Louis-Midtown event manager Brad Fry have joined the management team, bringing top-tier golf expertise, elevated dining, and proven entertainment leadership to the new venue.
RC Martin will serve as the director of golf operations. Martin has worked at area golf courses over the past 12 years, such as Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, MO, Rolling Hills Golf Course in Godfrey, IL, and most recently, Sunset Hills Country Club in Edwardsville, Ill. When asked what he was most excited about for the launch of Park North Golf Club, he said, “Park North Golf Club represents the perfect opportunity to create a fun, accessible space where our community can gather to enjoy this amazing game. I am excited to grow the game of golf in the Metro East with our unique approach that welcomes everyone.”
Bringing local flavor and chef-inspired dishes, Scott Oglesby joins the team as the general manager and executive chef of Scotty’s Sports Bar & Grill, the onsite dining destination at Park North Golf Club. Throughout Oglesby’s 34 years in the industry, he has been an executive chef with multiple country clubs, higher-end restaurants, sports teams, and a large financial firm. He has had the pleasure of cooking for an Italian Prime Minister, the CEO of Fiat/Chrysler, the Secretary of the Treasury for the USA, and a World Series Champion.
Oglesby explained what he is looking forward to most as Park North Golf Club’s general manager and Scotty’s Sports Bar & Grill’s executive chef: “When I was approached with the idea of Park North Golf Club a couple of years ago, I couldn’t wait to get started. I want to bring my passion for great food to a unique business. I’m looking forward to sharing our vision with a place I have called home for over 20 years.” Oglesby has crafted a locally inspired menu, specialty cocktails, and a unique drink list for the bar and grill.
With an extensive background in the sales and entertainment industry, Brad Fry has joined the management team as the director of sales and marketing. Fry’s previous experience opening the St. Louis – Midtown Top Golf location makes him a key contributor to a successful launch. Fry brings over 15 years of hospitality, event, and restaurant bar management experience and a deeply rooted passion for the life lessons of golf. He said he is most excited about “being able to provide a safe and fun space for our community.”
Park North Golf Club will be a choice destination for golf enthusiasts, families, and college students in the Metro East. With 40 weatherproof Trackman-powered driving range bays, an 18-hole championship-inspired putting course, and a premier sports bar and grill, Park North Golf Club hopes to bring a new local entertainment venue that everyone can enjoy.
