Energize Our Environment Hometown Grants

Evergy's 2025 Hometown Grant program promotes environmental and sustainable initiatives in the Evergy service area with the help of community nonprofits. Selected projects will be awarded grants of up to $10,000 to energize our environment.

Applications are open for Hometown Grants April 7 - May 2, 2025. Applying organizations do not have to be environmentally focused, but the project must be. Organizations must be 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) nonprofit agencies and reside within Evergy's service area. The projects must also take place within the service area to be eligible for funding. Up to seven regional grants will be awarded. Additionally, projects will be selected for the People's Choice Award to be voted on via Facebook with up to three winners. People's Choice Grant finalists will be chosen from applicants that were not awarded Regional Grants.
