Goodwill® of Southern Nevada Opens New Thrift Store and Donation Center on Craig Road in North Las Vegas

Goodwill of Southern Nevada (Goodwill®) opened a new retail thrift store on Craig Road at Revere in North Las Vegas on Friday, April 11. The Goodwill Craig Road Store offers tens of thousands of unique clothing, housewares, electronics, and other items generously donated by the community and carefully prepared every day for sale by the store’s team members.

The grand opening celebration of Goodwill’s 18th retail store and donation center, located at 755 W. Craig Rd., began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:45 a.m. Shoppers were  welcomed into the doors at 9:00 a.m., with the first 200 customers receiving a complimentary $5 Goodwill gift card and eco-friendly reusable shopping bag commemorating Goodwill of Southern Nevada’s 50th anniversary year.

“Establishing our second Goodwill retail store and donation center in North Las Vegas will provide a convenient service for the north-central Las Vegas Valley,” said Goodwill of Southern Nevada president and CEO Rick Neal. “As our social enterprise expands, donors and shoppers will continue to fuel Goodwill workforce development programs that offer careers as medical professionals, stagehands, truck drivers, welders, and other skilled trades. This new location welcomes 40 new Goodwill team members, each of whom plays a vital role in sustaining our stores, operations, and service to our community.”

The donation and sale of gently used household items support Goodwill career services and train-to-hire programs. A team of ten career coaches stationed at two store-based career centers and the Goodwill Training Academy provide personalized guidance to job seekers and military veterans as they explore training programs, skills workshops, and supportive services that lead to meaningful employment and thriving careers.

Donations are accepted at all Goodwill retail locations during store hours, as well as at three attended donation centers. The Goodwill Craig Road Store is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
